INTRO

Chippewa County International Airport is located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan which is surrounded by Lake Superior, Lake Huron, and Lake Michigan.  They came to us needing help with a new logo design. Previously they were using more of a sketched style logo, which was very detailed. They were looking for a more simplified look.  The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation, the sponsor for the airport, use light green and navy in their logo and we were asked to use a similar color scheme. The new logo is extremely versatile, using the airport’s three-letter IATA airport code, which can easily be used as an icon or reversed for different purposes.
